Your effort on 0-7 days really matters to obtain good results from your chickens

Senior Poultry Expert from PUM, Mr. Joost Gerrits never visited Ethiopia before but seems well informed about the country. When he arrived last week, he came with a great objective – to share his 45 years of experience and knowledge in a simple and practical manner to small scale poultry farmers in Bishoftu.

Five basic things a chicken needs:
1. Feed 2. Water 3. Oxygen 4. Temperature 5. Light

Learning Labs have been implemented in other AgriProFocus country networks, such as Tanzania and Zambia. The objective is to equip farmers with practical knowledge in a short term training which includes field visits and question-answer sessions.

To that objective, AgriProFocus Ethiopia, in collaboration with PUM, Netherlands Senior Experts, and with three FSRE Fund innovators in Bishoftu, organized a three days Poultry Learning Labs from July 19-21, 2016 to around 60 small scale poultry farm
