For the upcoming conference, Based on our experience from the first conference held in February 2016, we are paying less attention to presentation of research projects since most of the projects we have received were M.Sc. students’ thesis. We think that such large national audience should discuss issues beyond individual research projects conducted in short time with cross sectional study design. For most of our nutrition graduates, their career is limited by the kind of curriculum we have and the competencies included. Thus, it would be great to hear inputs from our stakeholders about the exiting curriculums. The

Linking emergency aid to food and nutrition security, Avoiding pitfalls of help-indcued dependency

  There has been a substantial increase in the number and impact of natural disasters such as earth quake of Nepal April 2015. But also man-made crisis and disasters are increasing and many conflicts have remained unresolved. Emergency or food aid, although necessary, is often criticised as a donor driven response, creating dependency in the short term, and undermining initiatives for local agricultural development in the longer term. Usually, only a few incentives exists to encourage people to build a better life and prevent them from falling back into avoidable situations where they need assistance again. 

Interested candidates can apply for admission to the training via the website. Costs for the two week training are 3,450 euro. After reviewing, Centre for Development Innovation will send you the admission letter and instructions on how to continue.
