From November 22-27, NABC will organize a trade mission to Rwanda for the Dutch private sector active in livestock & horticulture. With a GDP growth of more than 7%, a stable government and fast economic growth, the Rwandan market is full of opportunities.
The dairy sector is in the fast lane, with a reported milk-surplus. This creates chances in the whole chain, for breeding organizations, roughage and fodder production, milk quality control and processing etc. Rwanda is landlocked and can easily serve its surrounding neighbour countries as well.
The poultry sector is less well developed. The production of chicken meat increased with 78% over the last 10 years but is still low compared to the surrounding countries. Egg production stalls at 32% growth over the last 10 years. More than half of the eggs consumed in Rwanda are imported. Opportunities in the poultry industry are in most parts of the chain; hatchery, fodder production, egg production etc.
The horticulture sector in Rwand... Read more
From June 15-19 a horticulture business-delegation from Rwanda -including the Rwandan Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources Mrs. Gerardine Mukeshimana- will visit the Netherlands. This incoming mission is being organized in close cooperation with SPARK, GreenPort Holland, VDS-Acampo, and EKN Kigali.
The delegation consists of around 12 companies active in the production, trade and processing of agricultural produce (mostly fruit & vegetables, incl. tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, bananas) and distribution of machinery and input-supplies like seed and fertilizers.
Within the framework of the Agri Business Support Facility (ABSF), NABC organises the Dairy Processing mission to Ethiopia from the 26th of April until the 1st of May. Ethiopia embraces Dutch companies who aim to do business, by means of trade and/or investment, in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian government focuses in particular on the agricultural sector thanks to its enormous growth potential and the export-oriented policy of agricultural produce.
This dairy processing mission focuses on the entire value chain including production, quality testing, milk processing, packaging, cooling and logistics, distribution et cetera. The narrow scope of the mission enables you to gain in-depth information about the dairy processing sector and to meet relevant potential business partners.
This trade mission is therefore a great opportunity to find out how to do business in Ethiopia, meet potential business partners, or to expand your already existing business and network. NABC, the Addis Ababa... Read more
