Global One Health

Healthy people, healthy animals, healthy planet
How do we produce and consume food whilst safeguarding our planet in view of around 9 billion people by 2050 and ongoing degradation of planetary resources? How do we handle the burden of infectious diseases accompanying these processes? The Global One Health course highlights approaches to human, animal and plant health using a transdiciplinary lens.

The overall objective of this course is to introduce the participants to the principles behind a Global One Health approach and to be able to apply these principles to health challenges for humans, animals and plants in their day-to-day work. In particular:

Le Youth Ag Summit est une occasion unique de créer des liens et d’autonomiser la prochaine génération de décideurs du changement agricole. Tous les deux ans, 100 jeunes leaders mondiaux âgés de 18 à 25 ans sont réunis pour le réseautage, les débats, la formation professionnelle et le développement de projets. Le but final : Donner aux jeunes les moyens d’agir concrètement sur l’un des problèmes les plus pressants de l’humanité: comment nourrir une planète affamée.

La quatrième édition du sommet Youth Ag sera organisée à Brasilia, au Brésil, du 4 au 6 novembre 2019. Une fois encore, 100 jeunes délégués du monde entier seront choisis pour y participer.

Why this course 

Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Sustainability, Social Responsibility… Different phrases aiming for one thing: sustainable growth and development of the private sector with a positive social impact. But what does this mean? How can the private sector aim for a positive social impact, and how can civil society organisations (or governments) be part of that?
