Time: 2:00PM – 5:00PM (Afternoon)
Venue: Golden Tulip Hotel, Addis Ababa
You are cordially invited to attend the FSRE Innovation Fund final event and a book launch to be held on 18 April 2017 at Golden Tulip Hotel, Addis Ababa.
The Food Security and Rural Entrepreneurship (FSRE) Innovation Fund has been financed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia. The FSRE Innovation Fund has been managed by ICCO Cooperation on behalf of AgriProFocus, which in parallel has organized learning events and conducted coaching visits to the innovation projects as part of a learning trajectory.
Since 2012, the FSRE Innovation Fund has supported 75 agricultural innovation projects in Ethiopia reaching over 30,000 smallholder farmers through 53 implementing partner organizations. The over six million Euro received from the Dutch international cooperation budget has been made available using three grant facilities: Innovation Grant – up to Euro 100,000 per project; Matching Grant – Up to Euro 40,000 per project; and Up-Scaling Grant – up to Euro 100,000 per project. While horticulture, potato, poultry and aquaculture were the dominant value chains, others such as silk, honey, animal feed, aloe soap and biogas have also been awarded FSRE Innovation Fund support. More facts and figures can be on the pages below or at www.agriprofocus.com/fsre-fund.
Therefore, on 18 April 2017, we are hereby cordially inviting you to celebrate with us the completion of the FSRE Innovation Fund program with the following major activities:
Presentations: Exemplary implementations of projects will be presented by the implementers
Book Launch: AgriProFocus and the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), supported by the FSRE Fund Managers in ICCO Cooperation, have completed a book entitled “Agricultural Innovators in Ethiopia: Lessons from the Food Security and Rural Entrepreneurship Innovation Fund”.
