Digital 4 development prize Belgium (new deadline feb 21)

Prize D4D is a biennial initiative in line with the policy priorities of the Belgian development cooperation to use digitisation and (new) technologies as a lever for development. The combination of both responsibilities, ' Development Cooperation ' and ' Digital Agenda ', in the portfolio or Minister Alexander De Croo offers a range of unique possibilities. One of these opportunities is the Prize D4D.

Closing of the call for applications: Wednesday February 21, 2018

The innovation fair and the award ceremony will take place at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in the autumn or 2018.

Wim Goris Prize D4D consists of three categories:§     The innovative idea / startup – ‘iStartUp’ §     The success story – ‘iStandOut’§     The public award – ‘iChoose’ Regarding the ‘iChoose’ category, the public can vote for its favourite success stories via the online voting system among these 6 submissions: - Eight – Place Radio Hokon – Developing IOT sensors for Benin – Watching over the Okapis – The Geo-Observer Network – Story Maker. The submission with the most votes will be assigned as the winner of the category 'iChoose'. Everyone can rate each of these submissions with a score of 1 (lowest score) to 5 (highest score). If you haven’t done so yet, you have until Friday, June 29, 2018 to vote for your favourite project.For more information, please visit: The winner will be announced during the award ceremony and innovation fair on Thursday 4 October 2018.
