Since April 2018, I'm part of the AgriProFocus team in the position of the Business Developer for East Africa. It is my task to support country offices in identifying and developing opportunities where AgriProfocus can contribute to food security by fostering collaboration between different actors through our linking, learning and leadership solutions.
My broad undergraduate degree in social sciences and my masters combining business administration and sustainability enable me to understand complex problems from multiple perspectives and to develop innovative business solutions. Prior to working for AgriProFocus, I worked with the cocoa sector and gained extensive experience in building effective coalitions to address systemic issues such as poverty, malnutrition, and soil degradation.
Contributing to a greener, fairer and more sustainable economy by supporting companies in changing their business practices is my professional ambition. I believe that our society needs to reject the narrow understanding of ‘value creation’ and come to a much more holistic concept which recognizes value added to social welfare and ecological prosperity.
