On the road for an Agricultural boost in Mali

Caravane des jeunes pour l’entreprenariat agricole

In November 2014, about 50 students from Bamako went on a road trip to Sikasso. Along the way they visited young agri-entrepreneurs and their companies ranging from incubation centres for new business, to dairy farms and Karité production farms. On arrival, another group of youth from the Sikasso region with a shared interest in agriculture welcomed them. A day of exchange about business opportunities in the sector followed, with discussions and workshops organised and facilitated by different AgriProFocus members. Be inspired, watch the video and listen to participants’ impressions and lessons learned. One of the most important lessons is the added value of face to face meetings as these create passionate discussions and both formal and informal exchange.

The Mali experience has already inspired other AgriProFocus members to plan a similar activity this year!

À la prochaine édition!
