At the end of 6 weeks, they successfully interviewed over 26 stakeholders from different stakeholder groups – government ministries, rural agribusiness, urban agribusiness, and youth support organizations – working on youth and/or agribusiness issues in Ethiopia. They had also conducted Skype interviews with 3 APF offices in different sub-Saharan African countries that are wo

Subject: Request for internship

Hello colleagues,
I am happy to become the new member of Agri-ProFocus platform Netherlands.
I have been involved with agriculture and agribusiness since 2004. Currently I'm busy with my master studies at Utrecht University in Sustainable Business and Innovation. I'm about to start with my thesis research. I'm going to study the challenges and possibilities that raisin producers in Afghanistan face to enter the sustainability standards and food safety certification of Europe and the Netherlands in particular.
I would like to conduct my research project jointly with an internship opportunity. This is actually a requirement for my master's program.

Finding an internship opportunity seems to be challenging. I would highly appreciate any willingness and support in linking me with companies, NGOs or any other form of organizations relevant to agribusiness, standardization and/or sustainabile agriculture in general.

Thank You

Shoaib Amin

Anne Marie Kortleve Hi Shoaib, thank you for joining our platform! You can also contact my colleague Annette van Andel avanandel@agri-profocus.nl she might be able to help you with your search. Good luck!

Nicole Metz Hi Shoaib, Interesting to read you intend to study a value chain challenge faced by producers in Afghanistan. Do you know that the NWO WOTRO Applied Research Programme facilitated by NWO WOTRO and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform (www.knowledge4food.net) also includes Afghanistan as a potential country of study? There are not many universities or practitioners who have submitted proposals related to Afghanistan yet, but there might be in future.
