L’approche MAVC: utiliser la dynamique du marché

Qu'est-ce qui rend l’approche MAVC si spéciale? Que le programme aide les agriculteurs à améliorer leur production agricole? Qu'il relie les agriculteurs aux marchés? Que cela les aide à avoir accès au crédit? MAVC aborde tous ces trois problèmes majeurs des agriculteurs burundais, mais ce qui est vraiment spécial à propos de l’approche MAVC, c'est qu'elle utilise la dynamique des marchés pour le faire.

Cela signifie que le point d'accès de MAVC ne sont pas des agriculteurs, mais d'autres acteurs qui permettent aux agriculteurs d'être intégrés dans le système de marché. Le programme MAVC au Burundi: à propos de nous

Le programme Microfinance, Agri-finance et Chaînes de Valeur (MAVC) vise à briser le cycle de pauvreté et d'insécurité alimentaire de 150.000 petits producteurs au Burundi (avec une attention particulière aux femmes et aux jeunes) en facilitant l'accès aux marchés financiers et aux services agricoles.

Au Burundi, dans la région des Grands Lacs, 90% de la population sont de petits producteurs, produisant pour la subsistance seulement. ICCO Cooperation Launched STARS

In partnership with The MasterCard Foundation  

ICCO Cooperation with ICCO Terrafina Microfinance in partnership with The MasterCard Foundation launched the Strengthening African Rural Smallholders (STARS) program in Ethiopia. This five-year initiative will directly support 210,000 farmers (50% of whom are women) and reach more than one million people in rural Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Rwanda and Senegal. STARS will address challenges that smallholder farmers face such as poor farming techniques, lack of credit, minimal access to markets, and limited access to appropriate financial products.

STARS program was launched at Golden Tulip hotel, Addis Ababa on February 15, 2017. Le mercredi 30 Novembre 2016 au siège du Consortium Alafia, plus d'une vingtaine de Directeurs de Systèmes Financiers Décentralisés ont bénéficié d'une communication sur les dispositions du code foncier avec leurs activités. Ce fut l'occasion pour les Directeurs de comprendre les nouvelles dispositions du code foncier, d'avoir plus d'information sur les pièces à réclamer au promoteur en terme de garantie.

Pendaftaran kompetisi Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards Indonesia (CMA) 2016 telah dibuka!

Inisiatif Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards (CMA) berasal dari Citi Foundation yang berkantor pusat di New York, Amerika Serikat. Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya kewirausahaan dan keuangan mikro dalam mendukung inklusi keuangan serta penguatan ekonomi individu berpenghasilan rendah.

New Project STARS ''Strengthening African Rural Smallholders for Sustainable Development'' Launched!

Kigali, Rwanda, November 9th, 2016 – ICCO Cooperation with ICCO Terrafina Microfinance in partnership with The MasterCard Foundation today launched the Strengthening African Rural Smallholders (STARS) program. Promoting transparency and innovation to scale-up and deepen microfinance outreach in Africa

The African Development Bank (AfDB), in collaboration with the Government of Spain, established the Microfinance Capacity Building Fund (MCBF) with the primary objective of scaling-up capacity building efforts to the financial sector for the benefit of poor and low-income people in Africa, with a special emphasis on women and rural areas. The Fund was launched with Euros 5 million in funding from the Government of Spain. The AfDB expects to mobilize additional funding as the Fund transforms from a Bi-lateral Fund to a Multi-Donor Fund.

Duterimbere IMF secures Rwf400m for smallholder farmers

Farmers, especially those in rural areas, who operate small agribusinesses, will now find it easy to assess funding to expand their agricultural projects. This follows the signing of a refinancing deal between Access to Finance Rwanda, Bank of Kigali, and Duterimbere IMF under which Duterimbere secured a Rwf400 million loan for on-lending to small farmers across the country.

The loan was provided by Bank of Kigali and guaranteed by Access to Finance Rwanda and is part of the Microfinance Challenge Fund. The Microfinance Challenge Fund Rwanda was established in 2014 in accordance with the financing and project agreement of €3 million entered into between the government, Access to Finance Rwanda, and the German Development Bank, KfW. It is managed by Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
