CONSULTANCY OPPORTUNITY AT ICCO COOPERATION/STARS PROGRAM

ICCO COOPERATION/STARS program is looking for an individual experienced consultant in quality and food safety management, with practical experience in Rwanda standard board (RSB) and regional standards requirements (EAC, COMESA and ARSO standards) and International Standards requirements (Codex and ISO standards ) to train rice processors on quality and food safety management in rice milling industry for 10 days.

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST OF “Rapid Rural Appraisal of Household Income Expenditures with Smallholder Farmers”

Deadline: 20th March 2017  

ICCO Cooperation is launching a call for expression of interest for a “Rapid Rural Appraisal of Household Income Expenditures with Smallholder Farmers” in the framework of the STARS program (Strengthening African Rural Smallholders); implemented by ICCO Cooperation in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation in 4 African countries (Rwanda, Ethiopia, Senegal and Burkina Faso).

ICCO STARS - Rwanda aims to gain insight into how a 30% increase in income with smallholder farmers could be measured. This can be done by the following activities:

ICCO Cooperation is launching a call for expression of interest for a “Field Coordinator for data collection in the context of a baseline study for the ICCO STARS program” in the framework of the STARS program (Strengthening African Rural Smallholders); implemented by ICCO Cooperation in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation in 4 African countries (Rwanda, Ethiopia, Senegal and Burkina Faso).

ICCO STARS - Rwanda aims to undertake the following data collection activities in 2017 in Rwanda. These are:

· In May 2017 a baseline survey with farmers in Producers Organizations working in the rice and maize value chains

· In May or June 2017 a baseline survey with farmers in pilots of new agricultural credit products offered by MFIs
